“The Hordern”, as it is affectionately known by Sydneysiders, has been the home for international and local touring artists, music festivals, fashion runways and notorious Mardi Gras parties since it opened in 1924.
We worked with The Hordern Pavillion to revitalise and redesign their website to produce a seamless experience for their punters and showcase the venue’s rich history.
We carried out an audit on the venue’s previous website to identify the pain points that the team and their users were experiencing with updating the website and accessing important event information.
Our offering called for a mobile friendly and digital first solution that would echo the visual identity of a multitude of events spanning different genres while simultaneously elevating The Hordern’s brand.
The new website was designed and developed in-house with the primary objectives to streamline the users’ experience and push customers to purchase tickets.
Our user journey guided customers to browse multiple events, interact with event content, and sign up to the database to keep them up to date with event info.
We created a typography led, high-contrast design using The Hordern’s existing colour palette.
This allowed the photography and content to pop, drawing the viewers focus on key messaging. The end result led to a highly engaging and fully responsive experience across all devices.
We delivered a fully customisable WordPress CMS so the client has total control over the content on all areas of the site.
This allowed them to customise the ticketing and relevant information displayed on each event page, as well as generate custom forms for subscribing, feedback and inductions.
