During COVID 44% of Aussies were looking for interactive digital activations from brands. But as the country settled into lockdown, virtual events and livestreams had become tired and ubiquitous and audiences were switching off.
To bring a moment of joy into loungerooms across the country, we worked with KFC, Geometry/Ogilvy and Client Liaison to completely reimagine the livestream experience.
Held on Friday night – at a time when young people would typically have knock-off drinks with their colleagues – the KFC House Party brought thousands together for a shared moment of joy.
Their spectacular live performance was broadcast in real-time from their living room all in support of online mental health service ReachOut.
In its 5-star review of the event, the Sydney Morning Herald described the inaugural KFC Couch Party as “one of the best productions yet of the local live-stream era”.

Later in the year, we reprised the Couch Party concept to celebrate the Class Of 2020.
As school formals were cancelled nationally, we teamed up with Hottest 100 chart toppers The Rubens to deliver The Informal Formal, a virtual play on the deb ball that was beamed into loungerooms across the country.
